I went orienteering on Sept 25, and since I was already up in the high country, I continued further out to Marshall Pass to climb Mt. Ouray. At 13,971, it didn't miss being a 14er by much. I didn't expect to see any other climbers, but still got passed by a group of three and later by another climber just before the summit. After taking pictures of each other, photo I learned his partner tuckered out and was waiting below, so we descended together, and then all the way back to the trailhead. Where I discovered I had a flat tire. photo After reading the owner's manual to figure out where the jack was hidden, I put on the spare, only to find it was flat too. The climbers that I hiked down with offered to take the spare down to town (15 miles and an hour away) to fill it and bring it back, when a 4-wheeler out viewing the fall color photo stopped and let me use his compressor to fill the spare. I made it down to town where I topped off the tire pressure and continued back home without further issue.
